Back to Top1. What forms of payment are accepted at the festival?
We accept the following payment methods at the festival: cash, ATM/Debit cards and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.) We also offer the Doheny Blues Festival "Event Card!" Similar to an ATM/Debit card, blues fans can buy dollar amounts on the card for the purchase of food, beverages and Official Blues Merchandise at the event. All unused money left on the card will be refunded when you leave… it’s that easy. To improve efficiency, Event Cards will be available each morning prior to the gates opening, as well as at four locations throughout the venue. Save yourself some time inside and get an Event Card while you are waiting for the gates to open. The main refund booth will be directly inside the front gate. We need people to work in a variety of departments, including: front gate, beverages, event cards, parking and much more. We need volunteers who are ready, willing and able to go anywhere on the grounds and lend a helping hand. We want our volunteers to be flexible, but most importantly excited to be a part of an awesome team!

If you left something behind...it is possible we have your missing items at our office. Please call 949.362.3366 x 205 to report LOST and FOUND. The LOST and FOUND includes Create-A-Skate boards that were not picked up at the festival.

If you lose your wristband, you will have to purchase another ticket to the festival. Please keep wristbands on at all times. Treat your wristband like CASH!!

DIRECTIONS FROM LOS ANGELES: To Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, exit the 5 Freeway at the Pacific Coast Highway/Highway 1/ Beach Cities exit and travel north on Pacific Coast Highway. Turn left on Dana Point Harbor Drive, first left into Doheny State Beach.

DIRECTIONS FROM SAN DIEGO: Travel north on the 5 Freeway, exit the 5 Freeway at the Pacific Coast Highway/Camino Las Ramblas exit and travel north on Pacific Coast Highway. Turn left on Dana Point Harbor Drive, left into Doheny State Beach

Back to Top11. Where can I park my car at the festival?
PARKING AT DOHENY STATE BEACH:
Parking is available at Doheny State Park for $10 per car. Courtesy shuttle service runs from 10 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. between the North and South parking lots at Doheny State Beach. Arrive early, since the Doheny State Beach lot often fills up by noon.


SECONDARY PARKING LOT & SHUTTLE: Once the main Doheny lot is full, additional Parking is available at Dana Hills High School with shuttle service running continuously through the day. Parking is free at Dana Hills High School, but the shuttle is $5 per person round-trip.

Directions to Dana Hills High School (only 1.5 miles from Doheny): take the 5 Freeway to P.C.H. North, go past Doheny Stage Beach, turn right on Golden Lantern, left on Acapulco.

Brand NEW for 2009 we are offering a Bike Valet thanks to our friends at the OC Mud Run & Eco Fest. Bikers get early entrance into the festival plus we will park your bike inside the festival gates, give you FREE bottled water and other cool stuff!


Back to Top13. Can I camp at Doheny State Beach?
The campground has 121 family campsites, however spots fill up instantly. Camping spots go on sale the first day of the 7th month in advance at 8:00 a.m. For reservations at Doheny State Beach, call 800-444-PARK.

There are many options available: You can walk to the festival, ride your bike, drive your car, or you can also use public transportation, courtesy of Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA). To look-up a route visit the OCTA web site.

A low-back chair, blanket, one personal bottle of water is OK, still camera (no video), sunscreen, and cash/ATM/Debit/Credit Cards.

Please do not bring the following items: food, beverages, coolers, pets, audio or video recording equipment, and umbrellas or canopies. All seating is lawn seating... bring a blanket or low-back beach chair. Umbrellas and high-back chairs must be placed on the perimeter of the seating area (courtesy rule – if you are blocking someone’s view, you may be asked to move).

Upon entry into the festival, your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband that you must wear for the duration of the weekend.

YES! We are one big family at Doheny Blues and we want your family to join the fun! We have a brand new area this year, the Kids EcoZone, where kids can participate in eco-crafts, music jam/lessons and face painting. Plus, there will be blues performances on our brand new Beach House stage!

Blues music and tasty food is an American tradition! The Doheny International Food Court will include a variety of authentic vendors serving their eclectic menus: everything from BBQ to Greek to vegetarian. Our vendors are encouraged to serve their menu items on plates and containers made from compostable, biodegradable materials.

Beverages of all types will be available including: beer, wine, cocktails, water and non-alcoholic beverages. The beverage cups this year will be made from fully-biodegradable, compostable materials derived from corn grown in the USA.

Ellies Merchandise Booth always has a great selection of products, many of them made from organic materials. Stop by, pick-up some new music and meet some of the artists. Be sure to walk away with a smile on your face because your new merch will be stashed in a 100% fully-degradable plastic bag!

Last year, CR&R Waste & Recycling Services successfully recycled over 9,000 pounds of material generated from the event, keeping it out of the local landfills. This year, CR&R will utilize color-coded recycling containers placed next to trash containers. The recycling containers are convenient and easy to follow so do your part to keep Doheny State Beach clean and recycle!

We have also secured a "Blues Festival" rate at the DoubleTree Irvine Spectrum of $99 per night. The DoubleTree Irvine Spectrum is located near the Orange County Airport approximately 15 minutes North of the Doheny Blues Festival. Visit their web site to book your room(s)!
