The 32nd Annual Russian River Jazz Festival will feature:

Location
The Russian River Jazz Festival is located on the scenic Russian River at Johnson’s Beach, Guerneville, CA. For complete information on Johnson's Beach, CLICK HERE.

Hours:
Doors open each day at 10:00 a.m. There are two, alternating stages of music at the festival. The first band begins on the Wine Garden stage at 10:40 a.m. and the last band ends on the Main Stage at 6 p.m.

Get a Wristband at the Front Gate!
When you arrive at the festival, make sure you exchange your ticket for a wristband... regardless of whether you have GA tickets or Gold Tier. All wristbands will be exchanged at the Front Gate (re-entry is allowed).

What to Bring
Guests are welcome to bring low-back beach chairs, blankets, picnics, non-alcoholic beverages, hats & sunscreen. Please do not bring glass, alcoholic beverages, video recording equipment, pets, tents or canopies. The festival is rain or shine, all artists and performance times are subject to change, no refunds.

Parking & Directions
When you arrive in Guerneville, please follow all signage directing you to festival parking. Space is very limited, so carpool whenever possible. Do not park in red zones and obey all signs in Guerneville.

Directions from San Jose and the South Bay:
Take I-880 North, this turns into I-580 West, stay straight onto US-101 North. Exit: River Road. Follow River Road going west for 17 miles, enjoy the scenery, and you’ll be in Guerneville and the Russian River Resort Area in no time.

From the East Bay:
Take I-680 North, merge onto CA-24 West, merge onto I-580 West toward the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge, take the US-101 North ramp. Exit: River Road. Follow River Road going west for 17 miles, enjoy the scenery, and you’ll be in Guerneville before you know it.

WINE TASTING:
The Russian River Festivals will feature wine tasting from several of Sonoma County’s world famous wineries. For a nominal additional fee, Festival attendees 21 years and older will be able to taste premium wines from these featured wineries.

Proceeds from the wine tasting will benefit the Sonoma County charity Food for Thought . So help us support this worthy local cause and enjoy premium wines at the same time.

Food for Thought is a private non-profit organization established in October, 1998 and is dedicated to developing a comprehensive nutritional program pertinent to the needs of People Living with Symptomatic HIV Disease/AIDS in Sonoma County. From their Food Bank located in downtown Forestville, they distribute groceries, nutritional supplements, vitamins and minerals, basic dietary information, concern, caring, and occasional hugs for free to close to 450 clients per year county-wide. All of their clients are eligible to receive weekly bags of groceries. For those severely affected by AIDS, they also offer a variety of easily-prepared frozen meals. They are the only food bank in the area whose volunteers provide delivery service on a weekly basis to any client who is homebound because of illness or inability to drive.

VOLUNTEERING AT THE RUSSIAN RIVER FESTIVALS:

The volunteer program has been adjusted a bit, so please read carefully.

The 32nd Annual Jazz On The River is seeking volunteers for the 2008 event. Volunteers will be required to work one full shift on either day; approximate shift times are as follows:
Morning (8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) • Afternoon (2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.)

By volunteering for your shift, you will receive:
  • One free RRBF Volunteer T-shirt
  • One meal voucher and beverages
  • Free admission to the event for the remainder of the day that you are working

    All volunteers will be required to sign in & out on the day of the event and present a valid California Driver’s License or I.D. Card. Volunteer space is limited, so if you are interested in participating in this event, please provide the information requested below and fax this form to the number listed below. All applications must be received by no later than Friday, August 29.

    You will be notified of your acceptance for a position. If you do not receive an e-mail or phone call, you have not been accepted for this year’s event, but we thank you for offering your help. If there is an imbalance in the number of volunteers for one day versus another, you will be notified regarding any changes. All volunteers must be 18+ years of age and in good health.
